Time Flies…

When last we left, Big Fish, Bright Star, and Catch Me If You Can were all in my future. Well, all three of those shows are now in my past, with Bright Star closing just this past weekend. They were great experiences all, and each super special in its own way. The fun doesn’t end though, because I’m currently in rehearsals for After Hours Theatre Company’s immersive production of The Last Five Years, starring Janel Parish and Scott Porter. Our first preview is this Saturday, June 1st, and opening night is the 7th. Very excited for this one!

I’ve also got at least one trip to the east coast (with another tentatively scheduled…) coming up this summer. I’ll be linking up with my good buddy Elmo Zapp for a weeklong workshop of Norwegian Cruise line’s brand new ’70’s rock show “Whiskey & Rye.” Dan Garmon is music directing and the playlist is sooooo far up my alley it isn’t even funny. Looking forward to an awesome week in Tampa!

In other news, the John Burroughs High School show choir season came to an end this month. My fourth competition season as guitarist for the groups was another awesome one. I also got to collaborate with Cherry Poppins for another parody burlesque show, this time playing guitar for their Game of Thrones-themed show Clash of Queens. Also excited to say I’ll be working with a couple of Cherries on a little cover video soon.

I’ve been keeping busy in the studio as well, averaging about a session a week the last five weeks or so, with another to come this week. A whole bunch of various fun projects that I’m looking forward to the world hearing soon!
